Service Vest Controversy | The Bark

Great questions regarding the trend in falsely representing nicely trained dogs as service dogs. While we all want to take our dogs everywhere we go, this practice endangers the privileges of true service dogs, and is illegal.

Service Vest Controversy | The Bark:

"It can be difficult to know whether an individual dog is a service animal. There is not some simple way to identify them such as a government-issued identification card. Identification of a service animal or proof that an animal is in fact a service dog is not required in most cases, and a disabled person who is asked for proof of their animal’s qualifications or training does not have to provide it."
