Adoption Update: Cody

Hi Barbara,

I couldn't wait to report into you about agility class today. It is at a place called K9JYM. An indoor facility (of course. It was 20 degrees out). It was SO much fun. The teacher is the owner of the 'JYM' and she seems really good with the dogs. The course objective is to get you and your dog used to the kind of training, tricks and games that are used in agility. The next course would be actually working the agility courses. So today we played with a small square wooden box. We worked with the dogs until they understood that interacting with the box was a GOOD thing. Cody caught on really quickly. He is very attentive to me, whereas many of the other dogs were distracted with their surroundings. The next thing we did was the tunnel. Cody actually really liked the tunnel. He would go in on his own because he liked it in there.

When we got home, he was so exhausted. We didn't run around much but I think he was mentally drained. We brought the box home to play the game at home.

Both he and I are going to really like agility.

Hope you are staying warm.

Ann
