Adoption Update: Dixie!

Hello!

I just wanted to drop you a message on how Dixie is doing after 2
months with our family. She is settling in with our routines
wonderfully. We are now seeing much more of her personality, very
playful (enjoys balls, squeaky toys and nylabones), happy (lots of
tail wagging), and snuggly (will lean against you for pets, and likes
her dog beds).

Dixie enjoys her long morning walks, and likes to be social at the
kids bus stop in the morning. My 11 year old is helping with her care,
Dixie is bonding with her and responds to her nicely. Dixie is always
well behaved and polite to people and dogs when she is out with us,
and now being more socialized and familiar, rarely barks indoors or
out. She enjoys the dog park and playing fetch with tennis balls, and
responds to "find" and "bring." She comes to us when called and will
sit and stay when off lead in the yard or at the dog park. Dixie does
not like thunderstorms or loud noises, and will retreat to small
confined spaces.

Overall, we are enjoying her immensely and are very happy that Dixie
is with us.
