Adoption Update: Turner goes home!

Hi Laura and Chris,

We just wanted to let you know that our trip home with Turner went very well. He laid down to rest and came up right behind us for loving. We stopped at Pet Smart by our house and took him in to pick out his own bowl, a new toy, and one for his new brother and sister. The tall crate we had already gotten from Pet Smart wouldn't go together because of some bent pieces - it was after store hours. Those ones with pins in the corners are horrible to put together. We are returning it tomorrow. I found a folding one online just now that will be tall for Turner and they will ship it out tomorrow morning, guaranteeing it by Monday. So all will be well.

Dawson and Turner are doing very well together. They are running and playing together in the fenced yard - and have learned how to settle down together in the house (that took a while). Mandy (our miniature border collie) is terrified of Turner so we are going to take it slower with the two of them. Don't worry, we have been through working it out with dogs before and Mandy will come around.

We love Turner tons already - right now Dave is in the middle of the couch with Turner on his back on one side and Dawson on the other. Both are getting petted.

The cats already have discovered that Turner doesn't chase them and they are happy!

Thank you for everything and we will update you with Mandy's progress.

Kristi and Dave
