Science of Vaccine Damage: "A team at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine conducted several studies (1,2) to determine if vaccines can cause changes in the immune system of dogs that might lead to life-threatening immune-mediated diseases. They obviously conducted this research because concern already existed. It was sponsored by the Haywood Foundation which itself was looking for evidence that such changes in the human immune system might also be vaccine induced. It found the evidence."

The true value of vaccination comes in providing herd immunization to disease. It provides protection to those members of society who can not be vaccinated (newborns).
For every anecdotal story about vaccines making your child or dog sick millions of lives are saved every year. As a rescue organization I feel it is irresponsible to promote fear based on misinformation.

I fully agree with the value of vaccinations. I vaccinate my personal dogs, and every dog placed through MABCR receives the vaccines appropriate for the age and stage of life before placement.
That said, I do believe that vaccines may be over used. I also believe in education. For that reason, when we find interesting articles, we share them. The articles shared here are intended to educate, to provide different points of view. Readers should discuss any and all care with their own veterinarians, and should choose their own path.
