Keira is doing wonderful! She fit in just like she always belonged here. The best part is Danny loves her! I was a little worried he wouldn't accept her because of his past history, but after a small skirmish the first day, he accepted his new "sister". Keira has never had an accident in the house, which I'm amazed by. She loves to chew her bones, play with squeaky toys and go for walks. The only issue we have is she LOVES food. She'll jump up and steal food off the table if we aren't paying attention. We're working on that and she's getting better, though.
The funny thing is that we weren't looking for another dog. After losing my 13 yr old BC, Lacee, last year, I was set on just having Danny. I took her passing hard, as did my husband. She was a Daddy's girl. However, whenKeira arrived, my husband really fell hard. He acts all manly and says that she's just "ok", but you should see him. He's a big mush!
I am so thankful to Sarah, who suggested I foster Keira. I will be forever grateful! She's an absolute dream.
Thank you!
Diane
