Adoption Update: Breeze!

You may remember Breeze, one of the dogs we took in that had been kept in a shelter kennel for 3 years while awaiting the result of a cruelty case. Below is an update from her adopters:

Breezy has come along slowly and steadily. Her nickname is "Skittles" for obvious reasons. She's been on medication for her OCD for a while, and it seems to be helping. We've seen her playing with toys, and interacting with Max (the Spitfire).

Breezy has gotten interested in the outdoors, even though wind, rain, and snow scare her. She's gotten over being startled by birds and squirrels, and no longer runs into the house when they are around in the back yard. I've seen her scenting the wind, and following trails left by animals.

Breezy has always been an excellent watchdog, and her tail wags whenever I get home and when she's fed or given a treat. Sadly, she's still somewhat aloof, and won't come to us for affection. Walks still provide too much stimulation for her.

We all love her, and see what a wonderful dog she could be. She's so sweet, spunky and smart, and I hope she learns to enjoy life more.
