Adoption Update: Dell!

Just a quick note to say Dell seems to have really turned a corner. Last Tuesday she seemed to totally come out of her shell. She has become very outgoing with Tom and me, she romps in the yard, tossing her ball and frisbee, follows us around the house, puts her head on our laps, and is just a wonderful, loving dog. We couldn't believe the seemingly overnight change in her. Even our neighbor noticed. He said her tail is up and wagging and she seems like a different dog than the one he first met. We're just thrilled that she seems to now feel at home and trust us. She was a dear and we were happy to have her but thought she might stay rather shy and not show too much affection. We were wrong!

Hope all is well with you and the dogs still waiting for a home.

Adoption Update: Dell

Hi,

Dell has adjusted well. She does try to circle when nervous but we've been able to stop it most of the time. She is eating well and after one day has been very good about going outside. She prefers to do her business in the yard rather than on her walks but that's okay.

She has not had any problems with the cats. Last night she was touching noses with them and they seem to be peaceably co-existing.

She crates easily, sits on command and has a shy but very warm disposition. Her favorite place to rest when not in her crate is behind my chair as I read or do needlework.
Generally, she is calm and very loving. We are enjoying her very much. She was a very good match for us and I think, us for her!

When we can get a picture, we'll send it for your web album.
We haven't gotten a good one yet - she likes to move.

Best to all of you.

Bonnie
