(Please excuse the multiple posting. I wanted to provide more photos -- see below -- and in a format where more people could easily reference the post. If you have read this previously and are not interested, please delete!)
I wanted to let everyone know that I have Sarah’s favorite three-way leashes in stock in the store again. (They are my favorite leash, too, BTW!) The leash has a clip at each end, plus rings in the middle so it can be used in a variety of ways. I’ve pasted in a picture to give you an idea of how they work. They are hand-made of English bridal-quality leather by a craftswoman in West Virginia, so this is also a chance to buy American. Leashes cost $40 plus $5 shipping and are available in brown or black leather. (As always, I can include other store items in the package for the basic shipping price.) All sales benefit Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue! See below for ordering details.
You can attach the leash as shown above for hands-free dog walking (for example, when you are carrying packages). Another option is to loop up the end and attach it to itself if you don’t have a dog, or to walk a pack, loop it up through several leashes. The double clipping system also makes it really easy to attach a dog to a fence or other object if you are waiting for an agility run or something.
These leashes make great gifts (either for yourself or others!). With good care they will last a lifetime. Here’s a suggestion: Sarah added an MABCR I.D. tag to her leash in case she ever misplaces it. You can use one of those or have a brass dog tag made anywhere that engraves custom tags for pets.

**Sarah's response:
This is indeed the best leash I have ever owned. I will freely admit that I have it because it was a gift, but having had it, I would not hesitate to purchase one as a gift, or if I needed to replace the one I have.
· The leash is excellent quality. I am a horse girl and leather is important. This is soft, but strong and broke in quickly and easily.
· The brass fittings are strong and solid.
· The colors are lovely. Black or dark Brown the leashes go with anything (if you care about things like that).
· When I wear the leash it is not at all uncomfortable, in fact, I have been known to go out in public, fully forgetting I am wearing it. Of course, that simply verifies to the locals that I am, indeed, crazy.
· I have used my leash at least a dozen different ways. I purchased a coupler so that I could have two dogs on the single leash, and that works really nicely in a public setting (except when Maes decides she is too close to Alec and dips her head and slips her collar! Of course, when I noticed, she was just standing there looking at me, laughing inside I am sure.)
· Each leash purchased helps to support our rescue dogs. Adoptions are slow these days and we need all of the help we can get. This is a win/win.
· The only downside to this leash is that fact that it is so appealing, it may grow legs and walk off. Precisely why I have tagged mine!
So, I urge you to consider treating yourself, or if you have trouble with that sort of thing, treating a good friend to a super nice present!
As always, thanks for your support…
