Adoption Update: Maxie!

Finally, here are pictures of Maxie. It seems that every picture we take, she has either a ball or her "chuck-it" in her mouth. She even has a lighted ball and frisbee for these dark evenings. Maxie has been very easy to train because she is so toy motivated (and also likes "high value"
treats). I can't wait to take her to a gym class in a couple of weeks.

Right now she weighs between 40 and 45 pounds, but you can see that she is still a rather small dog--more like her Border Collie mom than her Lab dad. At this time, we have not seen any negative or different behavior with Maxie as a single dog. I do think she may get a little lonely . . . and perhaps in the next six months or so we can find her a fur friend to join her in our family.

We want to thank you, Sarah and Angie, and the rest of the group who enabled us to bring her into our family. She is a real gift in so many ways.
