Amazingly, we've had her two weeks now, and we definitely want to keep her! Today, we are re-naming her Kiara (meaning "black" in Gaelic). Our son didn't like Bonnie, another ethnically appropriate name.
At first, she seemed so hyper that we wondered if we could keep up with her, but she has calmed down considerably and seems to be settling into a routine. The only issue has been her jumping up and scratching the doors.
We got a little harness for her to prevent the slipping out from the collar, but then she slipped out from the harness the first time our son walked her (he is home for Thanksgiving). So I think it's just skittishness that is solved by familiarity, as it hasn't happened again.
Thanks so much for bringing her to us!
Jane and Ed
PS A photo is attached showing how handsome her eyes are.
